Fixing Red Light Syndrome Or Dead Captiveworks CW600S Regular & Premium If you are experiencing a Dead, Red Light Syndrome, Dim or no display on your CW-600S Regular or CW-600S Premium, here are some instructions on how to fix it. NOTE: If the above syndrome(s) appear after loading a wrong bin file, the following procedure may not work. See the instructions below picture. Remove top lid by removing all 5 screws. Measure the 3.3 volts (CN2 power supply or J2 on main board). If this voltage is 2.8 volts or lower, the power supply board needs to be repaired.

Install the new capacitors with the proper polarities to avoid further damage to power supply board. The large stripe is negative on all capacitors. Solder the installed capacitors, be careful not to apply pressure with soldering iron as this will damage the pads or lands. Install power supply back on the chassis and power STB back ON.

It should now be ready to go. See attached picture. If the red light appears after loading the wrong bin file, follow these steps: 1. Connect receiver to PC 2. Turn on receiver either with back switch or pluging it in, hold power switch on front panel IN until you see BOOT.

Run 1.05 loader on Regular or 1.07 loader on Premium 4. Select the proper latest bin for your model. Wait until receiver shows on the TV screen -End- 6. Turn off receiver and turn back on, enable patch (F1 000) and enjoy.
